Fishers’ Paradise
Fishers’ Paradise is exactly that – paradise. Located between River Valley and Field, Ontario, nestled along the Sturgeon River, Fishers’ Paradise is a private family-owned and operated campground. They offer tent campsites, glamping tents, as well as a guest cabin and many outdoor amenities like cob ovens, saunas, a beach, canoes, and many kilometres of hiking trails. It also plays host to R&S Music and Camping Festival every summer.
After spending time at Fishers’ Paradise through the R&S festival, I fell in love with the land and its owners – the Fishers. I offered my design skills to help them clean up their website and branding to help attract new campers, as well as modernize their website to make it responsive and more accessible to all.
Process
The Fishers wanted a WordPress website that they would have backend access to, and be able to modify small things on their own. They Also didn’t have a budget for development, so I took it as an opportunity to work on my skills of using and modifying a WordPress template that fit their needs to create a unique, responsive, and accessible website where prospective campers can learn more about the land and amenities in a user-centred design approach.
I also took the opportunity to vectorize and simplify their existing logo to make it more web friendly.
